Our favourite winter event is just a few months away: the Beltline Bonspiel. The temperatures dropping have us thinking one thing: ice-making!! That's right, we're going to be needing ice-making volunteers very soon to make the curling rink for the Beltline Bonspiel.
What we're looking for in prospective volunteers: the ability to dress really warm! And that's it.
The current ice-masters make ice on evenings and weekends, mostly when the weather cooperates. Our Director of Transportation, Kev, coordinates volunteers using WhatsApp. If you're interested in helping out, download the app (if you don't have it already), and email Kev ([email protected]) to let him know that you'd like to join in the ice-making festivities this winter.
