Halloween for adults. Friday night, October 27th at Lougheed House.
More info at the Lougheed House website.
Nosferatu, the 1922 classic of German expressionist cinema by F. W. Murnau, is 81 minutes of fascinating and fun silent-film-era brilliance. You haven’t seen it until you see it in all the Victorian splendour of Lougheed House, built in 1891.
Arrive between 6:30 – 7 p.m. and you can do our easy trick-or-treat scavenger hunt in the House. Or, arrive for the movie that starts at 8 p.m. Either way, come to be scared and delighted.
“It’s not just a great horror movie. It’s a poem of horror, a symphony of dread, a film so rapt, mysterious and weirdly lovely it haunts the mind long after it’s over.” – Chicago Tribune.
“As vampire movies go, few are more memorable than Nosferatu, which is not only the first screen version of Dracula, but, in some ways, remains the best.” – Reel Views
