As the weather gets warmer and the NHL playoffs approach, 17th Ave in partnership with Calgary Corporate Challenge and in support of KidSport present the First Annual Red Mile Cup! We invite Calgarians, young and old, big and small, to participate in this event! Whether you’re a road hockey superstar or are a beer leaguer, get your team together for our first ever 3-on-3 hockey tournament!

Grand Prizes

A Grand Prize will be awarded to the winning team of each pool. Medals will be awarded to first, second, and third placed teams as well. All players will receive a swag bag with information, coupons, and promotions from businesses on 17th Ave SW. When you register we’ll ask for the age and skill level of all players so we can create divisional pools of teams based on their skill level to keep the competition fair.

What You Can Expect

On Saturday May 12th, teams will play in a round robin fashion set up as qualifying rounds for the playoffs the following day. Games are 40 minutes each (two 15 minute halves with a five minute half time) and every team will have the chance to play a minimum of two games.

Here To Have Fun

The Red Mile Cup is all about bringing the community together and creating an energetic atmosphere. There will be live music, DJs, a concession stand, plenty of games, a raffle (50% of all proceeds go to KidSport), a Team Spirit Award for the best dressed teams (costumes are encouraged!), and a local celebrity game with surprise guests from your favourite pro teams!
