The Beltline Fridge (on 12th)

No One Goes Hungry ♥️ No Good Food Goes to Waste

What is a Community Fridge?

A community fridge/pantry is a mutual aid project that enables food to be shared within a community. Anyone can bring food or take food without limits or barriers. It is maintained by a network of volunteers and local businesses and not only reduces food insecurity in our community, but mitigates food waste as well.

What is the Beltline Fridge all about?

We believe that life is better shared. A subcommittee of the Beltline Neighbourhoods Association, we are a group of volunteer residents passionate about food security and dignity. We believe food is a human right and should be available to everyone. We believe in solidarity, not charity. The Fridge is in the final planning stages of securing necessary permits and funding and should be built in Spring 2023. It will be located outside of the former Beltline Community Hub/Aquatic Center at 221 12 Ave SW.
