A handful of well-organized, vocal landowners in Springbank just outside of Calgary have been blanketing social media with sponsored ads as part of a media and PR blitz behind a massive letter writing campaign to the federal regulator to derail Calgary’s flood mitigation project.

Produced in partnership between Lougheed House and the Beltline Neighbourhoods Association, and Presented by Park Point, Qualex-Landmark, the Beltline Bonspiel at Lougheed House is Calgary’s most unique free winter family festival.

For our neighbourhood residents close to the East Village, take notice: the New Central Library has been granted an after-hours noise exemption from Feb 4 - Feb 22. This means construction may be going on in the evenings and nights during these days (from 10 pm to 5 am).

The BNA is excited to announce that Jamal Hamadeh has been hired as the new Community Coordinator, based out of our beautiful community hub, McHugh House.

We're looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our volunteer Board of Directors as Director of Events for the Beltline Neighbourhoods Association! 

Last Thursday, October 26th, the BNA hosted our 2017 Annual General Meeting with a special members-only Beltline Urban Murals Project (BUMP) Artist Talks event at Memorial Park Library. We heard from three of the four local 2017 BUMP mural artists Curtis Van Charles, Adam He Chu, and Mateusz Napieralski on the process and inspiration behind their latest Beltline murals.

The Beltline Neighbourhoods Association is a vibrant new community association for the Beltline district in urban Calgary encompassing the neighbourhoods of West Connaught, Connaught Centre, Victoria Centre and East Victoria.

We are proud to be a recognized member of the Federation of Calgary Communities and are founded by engaged residents with a history of service in their communities who wanted to build an accessible and diverse association open to all residents to get involved in making the Beltline an even better place.

It’s been a busy last year and a half in the Beltline. Here’s what we’ve done together...

The Beltline Neighbourhoods Association is seeking a motivated, self-driven individual with strong organizational skills and a community and arts focus for our new Community Coordinator position. The successful candidate will work out of our office in the beautiful, historic McHugh House.

Our neighbourhood is going through a lot of changes (and improvements!). This month, we would like to get you involved with two big projects: continuing to build our strong community association, and, supporting our local businesses and have a great time with a backyard alley party:

In May 2017, ENMAX began the engagement process for a new proposed 138 kV transmission line between ENMAX No. 2 Substation located at 3120 – 9th Street SE, and ENMAX No. 8 Substation located at 903 – 4th Avenue SW along Stampede, Erlton, Lindsay Park and the Beltline as part of a project to reinforce electricity transmission into the downtown.
