CP Rail wants to build 6 new 232 square-foot backlit digital billboards in the Beltline
As reported by CBC News, CP Rail has partnered with All Vision, a major outdoor advertising developer, to build 6 new 232 square-foot LED-backlit billboards in the Beltline across the railroad bridges at 1 Street SE, 1 Street SW, 8 Street SW, 4 Street SW, and Macleod Trail. The company is currently applying to the City of Calgary for approval.

The City of Calgary is proposing unprotected bike lanes on 2nd Street SW between the Elbow River at 26 Avenue and the railroad tracks at 10 Avenue on a key stretch of the City’s bike network that is currently marked only symbolically with “sharrows” (painted bike stencils).

Beltline 2017 AGM & BUMP Artist Talks Event!
Last Thursday, October 26th, the BNA hosted our 2017 Annual General Meeting with a special members-only Beltline Urban Murals Project (BUMP) Artist Talks event at Memorial Park Library. We heard from three of the four local 2017 BUMP mural artists Curtis Van Charles, Adam He Chu, and Mateusz Napieralski on the process and inspiration behind their latest Beltline murals.

The Beltline Neighbourhoods Association is a vibrant new community association for the Beltline district in urban Calgary encompassing the neighbourhoods of West Connaught, Connaught Centre, Victoria Centre and East Victoria.
We are proud to be a recognized member of the Federation of Calgary Communities and are founded by engaged residents with a history of service in their communities who wanted to build an accessible and diverse association open to all residents to get involved in making the Beltline an even better place.
